Sub:   Willing acceptance of posting in JNVs located in North East Region and other hard and difficult stations.

Sir/Madam,

          As you are aware the Samiti has announced a package of concession and incentives for the staff willing opting for posting to Navodaya Vidyalayas in North East Region and other hard and difficult stations.  A list of such Vidyalayas is enclosed.  The employees who willingly opt for posting to these Vidyalayas i.e. Category-I employees will be granted the following concessions.

(i)                The employees working in these stations may be considered for transfer to their choice place after completion of three years of service as far as possible.

(ii)              Option of admitting their children in any of the JNVs of their choice through out the Country.

(iii)             Preference in nomination to training programmes.

(iv)           Transfers both at the time of posting to as well as out of North Eastern region to be considered as public convenience thereby making the employees eligible for transfer benefits.

(v)             Seniority of the employees to be posted in North Eastern Region to be protected in their parent region both while being posted to as well as out of North Eastern Region i.e., such employees not to loose their seniority.

          In addition, employees posted in North Eastern Region, A&N Island and Lakshadweep are eligible to draw various financial incentives as announced by the Samiti from time to time.

          Willingness is now invited from various categories of teachers from other regions for preparing a list of Category-I employees who are willing for posting in North Eastern Region and other JNVs located in hard and difficult stations during the Academic Year 2006-07.  In couple cases both husband and/or wife will be given posting in the same JNV in these areas.  The applications should be obtained from all concerned in proforma-I and forwarded to this office in a consolidated manner (Subject-wise/Category-wise) in proforma II.

          Assistant Commissioners may be requested for motivating the staff working in the Vidyalayas under their clusters and to ensure that the exercise is completed in these Vidyalayas.
