Sub. Continuation of Class X in Class XI during this year – reg.
Sir/Madam,
I am to draw your kind attention to the subject cited above. The Regional Offices and Vidyalayas made representations that whether to continue Class X students after the examination i.e. 25th March, 2011, in the Vidyalaya making them to sit for class XI.
The CBSE has given instruction that the students will not be allowed to continue in Class XI without declaration of the result i.e. school based evaluation and Board conducted examination. It has been discussed with the Commissioner and the Officers of the Samiti and felt that most of the students in JNVs will be getting promoted from the Board or the school based evaluation. These students may be allowed to continue in Class XI till the Vidyalaya closes for summer vacation.
The Regional Offices and Vidyalayas can plan for teaching of Class XI of the concerned school’s streams so that the students will complete some syllabus. Some of the Vidyalayas are closing on 30th March and other Vidyalayas on 30th April. Class X students who will be promoted for Class XI, will leave the Vidyalaya only for summer vacation where the Vidyalaya closes.
In case, the Vidyalayas which are sending first batch of Class X, first time, those students will go home after completion of Class X examination i.e. 25th March, 2011.
