Sub :    Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week-2011.

Dear Principal,

 

            You are all aware that we have been observing Vigilance Awareness Week every year, since the year 2000. This year, the Central Vigilance Commission has decided to observe Vigilance Awareness Week from 31st Oct’ to 5th  Nov’2011. I, therefore, request all of you to adhere to the following points while observing the Vigilance Awareness Week this year.

 

a)                  The Vigilance Awareness Week should commence with the administration of pledge to all staff members by the senior most functionary on the very 1st day (i.e. 31st Oct 2011) at 11.00 AM. A copy of the pledge is enclosed.

 

b)                  The Posters/banners highlighting the observance of Vigilance Week should be displayed at prime location in JNV campus and office.

 

c)                  The parents and eminent persons of the locality should be invited to participate in various programmes conducted by the JNV during the Vigilance Awareness Week. They should be made aware of :-

 

(i)                  the aims and objectives of Navodaya scheme

           (ii)                the Admission policy

     (iii)               the services rendered by the JNV in the field of education, cultural development, national integration,

                 co-curricular & extra curricular activities.

     (iv)        the facilities provided to the students free of cost.

     (v)          the role of various committees (i.e. VMC, PAC, PTC etc) involved in the management of day to day affairs of the JNV

     (vi)        the transparency observed in the procurement process of JNV.

     (vii)            Grievance redressal/complaint handling mechanism in NVS.

(d)               The students should be encouraged to participate in debates on anti corruption topics and in cultural programmes conveying the message of evils of corruption in the society.

 

(e)                The expenditure incurred in the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week should be kept as minimum as possible and unnecessary expenditure should be avoided.

 

2.         I am confident that you will organize the Vigilance Awareness Week in a befitting manner & submit a brief report thereon to me on or before  1st Deceber 2011, enabling me to forward a consolidated report to Central Vigilance Commission.

1.                  The Deputy Commissioner of all Regional Offices of NVS with the request to organize the Vigilance Awareness Week campaign in the Regional Office and Vidyalayas and send a detailed report of activities undertaken.
