The children in the modern times is so enthusiastic and intelligent that it is a challenge to the educator to satisfy their intellectual power, talent in various skills and above all to inculcate moral values. Our aim is to cater to the needs for all round development of the children. our vidyalaya is equipped with all lab facilities, Smart Class, Play Ground, Multipurpose Hall, Spacious Dining Hall and well-furnished class rooms. We foster a positive spirit and believe in coordinated effort of students, parents, teachers and non-teaching staff to create a milieu that sustains excellence. Our distinction lies in the pursuit of high academic attainment. Approach to learning incorporates, inquiry, research, analytical thinking and ethical thinking that becomes a life time habit. Students are helped to focus on confidence building while nurturing a strong component of social and environmental responsibility through academic and non-academic activities. Education is a collaborative effort that improves professional administration, dedicated teachers and motivated students. Let us commit ourselves to pave the right path for a promising generation.

As a Principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Kozhikode, I extend hearty welcome to all viewers of our Vidyalaya Website. Jawahar Navodaya Kozhikode has been a pace setting institute in providing good citizen to the society and above all good human beings with the help of a dedicated team of teaching and Non-teaching staff members who uses the supreme art to awaken joy among young learners in creative expression and knowledge. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Kozhikode works on student centric approach which offers rewarding educational experiences to all who choose to focus on excellence. It addresses the contemporary needs of the learners by successfully creating a dynamic environment to trigger learning experiences and awakening the natural curiosity of the young minds and thereby facilitating the art of teaching. It aims at the commitments to nurture and equip young learners with the uncommon ability to become confident, sensitive, socially committed and to develop as an all-round individual. Our basic focus is on preparing students in such a way so that they understand the rich culture and heritage, traditions, of this great country.

Special feature of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Kozhikode is its coeducational residential nature where students coming from different background live together, learn from each other’s values, respect each other traditions. The school provides education beyond class room by conducting various curricular and co- curricular activities both inside outside the class rooms. Co-curricular activities like Debate, Essay Writing, Story Writing, Quizzes, Art and Dance Competitions etc. are commen features in day to day life in our vidyalaya. Students get an opportunity to excel in the field of science through activities, experiments in well-equipped labs, project work in NCSC, Regional Science Congress, Math and Science Olympiad, Vidhyarti Vigyan Manchan. Students also get opportunity to get admission in free coaching for IITs / Medical by participating in written exams conducted by Dakshna Foundation and the EX Navodaya Foundation. Students who have deep interest for games and sports get opportunity to excel by participating in cluster/regional/national level games and finally if selected in SGFI level which is the highest level for school sports and games.
