Remedial Teaching

Identification of weak students Diagnosis of the weaknesses. Planning remediation strategies / Framing of remedial timetable / Remedial Tests /Evaluation & Re-teaching.

Remedial Teaching

·         Remediation or remedial programme is not the last minute affair as we do usually in school before the CBSE or Annual Exams/Summative Assessments concerned with the performance of the students. In fact, we have to start and implement the remediation / remedial programs in our schools from the very beginning of the session on the basis of the performance of the students.

·         The Concept that remediation is to be done only for weak students is good enough but not complete in itself, as even the bright / above average or intelligent students need remediation, need to master their un-mastered areas to achieve the 100% marks. Therefore programmes should be carved out / designed for implementation. The remedial teaching for failures, remedial teaching for average students & remedial teaching for bright students should be there to achieve the fixed Samiti Benchmark.

·         Here one thing is prudent to mention that even in remedial classes our teacher do the regular teaching. They need to understand the difference between the regular classroom teaching and the remedial teaching. The remedial teaching is something special teaching, specially designed, specially supplemented with special content modules, considering the need and mental level of the clients (here the target group of students) using specially thought out / designed teaching aids.

·         The remedial teaching should be complete in a given frame of time with complete dedication for better output.
