Report on 24thYouth Parliament Competition

24th Youth Parliament Competition was organized in JNV Palghar on 29th August 2022. The programme was organized as a part of celebration of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav on the completion of 75 years of Indian Independence.

The programme was celebrated grand manners. Students from class IX and XI participated in this Youth Parliament by assuming the roles of different ministerial departments. The session which lasted for about 55 minutes, saw the participation of total 49 students and was conducted by Mr. N. S. Bhoi PGT Geography and Mr. Junja Ram TGT Social Science.Mr. S N Sanap Vice Principal of JNV Palghar gave a brief introduction of the Chief Guest Hon’ble Shri Rajendra Gavit, Member of Parliament, Palghar Constituency and the jury members 1. Asst. Prof. Madhura Raut, History Department 2. Asst. Prof. Rutuja Raut, political Science Department from Sonopant Dandekar College, Palghar and 3. Mr. M. D. Burade PGT Math’s JNV Palghar.

The matters raised in the Youth Parliament were related to welfare activities, social justice, social reforms, farmer’s issues 33% reservation bill for women, Land acquisition bill.

The participants spoke in Hindi, English and Marathi languages.

The students had shown excellent oratory and elocution skill in the competition.

The event had eminent panelist consisting of Rajya Sabha M P Shri Rajendra Gavit and other dignitaries Mr. Kedar Kale (Loksabha Coordinator) and Adv. Shri Rahul Thakare and List of the Members of Youth Parliament.

The Hon’ble M P Shri Rajendra Gavit praised the students elaborately for their efforts. The judges also apprecialised the efforts taken by the staff and the students for making 24th Youth Parliament a great success.

Mr. Abraham George, Principal JNV Palghar felicitated the Chief Guest and other panelists on the dais with a bouquet, shawl and Shriphal.

Hon’ble M P in his blessing and guidance for the students appreciated the Youth Parliament, to promote awareness, interest and a democratic value system among the students. He thanked the Vidyalaya administration for the conduct of the parliamentary programme.

The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. N. S. Bhoi PGT Geography.
