     Education is a lifelong process by which character is formed, mind is strenghtened, and intellect is sharpend as a result of which the child can stand on his own feet with strong convictions and open mind and not the amount of information put into the brain of a child to remain undigested throughout his life. 

      For Proper education of the child a conducive environment at home and school is necessary for which the life of the parents and teachers should be inspirational, positive and motivational. Parents as well as teachers inspire the children in the way they live. It is doubly true when the system of the schooling is residential where the character and the activities of the teacher make  indelible imprints in the mind of the children. 

     In such context children are to be controlled and trained through meditation, concentration, sound value system and practice of ethical purity. It is possible only through systematic planning and its proper implementation.

     Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, a unique residential educational institutions of Government of India require such intiation, involvement and commitment of staff members. Most of the activites are interdependent and need maticulous planning.  Planning earmarks the effective role of each individual towards the achievement of greater goal. 

     No doubt as Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Says "Where there is righteousness in the heart, there is beauty in the character. When there is beauty in the character, there is harmony in the heart. When there is harmony in the heart, there is order in the nation. When there is order in the nation, there is peace in the world". But the begining is righteousness in the heart, which we should always try to achieve through our educational system as today's students are tomorrow' s citizens and nation's promise in the future.
