Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Tumkur Started Functioning in the year 1987-88 Under Navodaya Vidyalaya Samithi, Ministry of Human Resource Devolopment ,Dept. of School Education and Literacy, Govt. of india.This system is unique experiment unparalleled in the annals of School Education in india and elsewhere. Its significance lies in the selection of talented rural children from various blocks of the district as the target group and the attempt to provide them with quality education. Comparable to the best in a residential school system.
Our vidyalaya has a full-fledged campus extended in an area of 38 acres of land with sufficient building for class rooms,dormitories,Staff quartres, dining hall and other infrastructral facilities viz. Play ground,Library ,Laboratories etc.
