About JNV Senapati-II
The 17th Feb, 2014 was the most auspicious day when the foundation stone of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Senapati-II, Kangpokpi was laid down by Hon Shmt. Nemcha Kipgen,MLA, in the presence of Smt. Pushpa Rani Varma the then Deputy Commisioner NVS-RO Shillong,Shri. D.K.Thangboi ADC Kangpokpi & Shri. Banarasi Das,Asstt. Commissioner NVS-RO Shillong. The school campus is running in temporary site with temporary buildings connected by steep and windy paths and offering spectacular views at every turn. The widespread use of email and an VSAT connectivity shrinks the distances and keeps staff, students and administration in quick and easy contact with one another. The Vidyalaya is surrounded by the grove of pine trees on the main Imphal to Dimapur National Highway (NH-37), at Kangpokpi. The school is located on the lap of exotic valley of Koubru Hills, at Kangpokpi ward No.11& 12, at a height of about 2000 feet.
