JNV Bilaspur has separate hostels for Boys and Girls (07 hostels for Boys and 05 for Girls) and all facilities available in the hostels make their living comfortable as good as home away from their houses. Boys are divided into 07 houses and girls into 05 houses in such a way that senior class students are residing in senior houses & junior class students are residing in junior houses. In each house one house master has been appointed who are residing in HM Quarters. Each house is assisted by one AHM & tutors. Also one Matron is looking after the girls. House captains & vice-house captains assist the HM/AHM in managing their respective houses more efficiently. Boys & Girls are vertically divided into 04 CCA Houses for the purposes of conduct of inter-house competition in CCAs and Sports/Games. House masters ensure that each and every house inmate of their respective house participate in one or the other inter-house competition depending his/her talent.

JNV Bilaspur has a big Dining Hall where at least 300 students can dine at a time. JNV Bilaspur provides nutritious, balanced & hygienic meals to the students. Food is cooked in such a way that hygienic and cleanliness aspect of the food stuffs is being taken care of on priority basis. The Vidyalaya cadets mess committee meeting every month in which the mess menu is decided by the students for that very particular month and also any change in menu they want as per their need and desired is implemented. Besides that the quality of food and quality of cooking is discussed in the meeting. The vidyalaya has 03 regular employees and 08 causal workers working under the supervision of Catering Assistant who are under the in-charge of Vice-Principal of the Vidyalaya who is perfecting the duty of Mess In-charge.

JNV Bilaspur has good playground and is providing large no. of facilities for the promotion of games activities in the Vidyalaya maintaining the physical fitness of the students, different sports activities are conducted as per well planned activity calendar for the whole session. The resources available including playground are optionally utilized for organizing various games & sports activities. This Vidyalaya organizes Vidyalaya level, cluster level and regional level competitions for various games & sports activities every year. Besides this vidyalaya has sufficient infrastructure for various indoor and outdoor games like Chess, Kabaddi, Badminton, Volleyball, Kho-Kho etc. Also yoga classes are organised for the students during morning P.T. and evening games.

As per guidelines of NVS New Delhi, museum corner had been established in Vidyalaya in year 2003. The objective of establishing museum corner in JNV is to establish close contact with the past thereby weaving the threads of cultural heritage. So that children appreciate them by seeing the replicas, famous antique pieces in their own School. At present Vidyalaya museum has the following collections:- 1. Set of Harappa Art 2. Indian Sculpture through ages 3. Indian miniature painting 4. Indian coinage & stamps 5. Local objects of Indian art and Culture 6. Historical objects of Malhar excavation 7. Art & craft works made by Vidyalaya Students.
